Chelsey's Fall Adventures

As much as I love planning, designing and executing fabulous events, I do enjoy attending them as well. What have I been up to lately (as a guest)?

Grandpa’s 80th birthday…
My grandfather turned 80 this September. Siblings, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins gathered at Sunset Beach to celebrate his wonderful life so far. We had a great time! Admittedly, I couldn’t keep my hands off some of the planning--arranging for flowers and catering-- but it definitely did not feel like work. Here’s to many more, Grand-père, salut!

Wine & Design with Samantha…
Wine, flowers, and Samantha Kozub: how could I resist? My BFF Samantha from the King’s Daughters Inn invited me to my first Wine & Design. This was hosted by Watered Garden Florist in Raleigh. You drink wine and arrange flowers - what a concept! The owner, Steve Taras, started with a demonstration. It was amazing how quickly he put together such a beautiful arrangement. Sam and I weren’t so quick, but I think we did good work! Check it out:

Ali & Andrew’s Wedding...
Ali Fisher, my dear friend and owner of sister company Carolina Food Design in Charleston, SC, was wed to her prince charming Andrew this month. The yellow and gray “The Notebook” themed affair was nothing short of stunning. Remember the scene in Noah’s house where tons of candles set the room in a romantic glow? Yeah, she turned the Harbour Club ballroom into that! Ali is amazing. My hubby and I had so much fun. Thank you for everything; we love y’all!

My cell phone doesn’t do this justice, but I had to share.

It’s been a great fall season so far.
