Best of 2014

Can y'all believe we are already halfway through the 2015 spring wedding season?! Neither can we! That said, it's never too late to look back and enjoy all the fun we had in 2014! We're so grateful for all of the amazing clients and vendors we teamed up with last year. We hope you'll enjoy this recap as much as we do!

Best Dresses

Amy - We love it when a dress and a bride just seem to be made for one another. Amy looked so effortlessly elegant in her Romona Keveza gown from Traditions by Anna; she simply radiated happiness and ease.

Lindsey - This gorgeous lace Monique Lhuillier gown was perfect for Lindsey & Justin's farm wedding at The Inn at Celebrity Dairy. With a v-neckline and key-hole back, it was the perfect mixture of laid-back style and elegance.

Best Bouquets

Katie - We love the balance of neutrals and brights in Katie's bouquet, not to mention how voluptuous and full it is. [Floral by Fiore Fine Flowers]

Jenn – When it comes to vibrant bouquets, Jenn’s takes the blue ribbon without question. It can be tricky to navigate the difference between bright and garish, and Jenn’s bouquet is the perfect example of how to do it right. [Floral by Tre Bella Flowers]

Best Design Details

Thea - How incredible are these floating tables at Thea's wedding? There was one at either end of the tent holding her place cards and cakes and they looked so magical suspended with ivy-wrapped chain from the clear tent. [Gravity defying feat by Party Reflections]

Jackie – Jackie’s bar table was accented with ceramic elephants overflowing with dusty pink and white floral arrangements. They were unique and eye-catching but kept beautifully in step with the classic aesthetic of the rest of the décor. The perfect design pop! [Floral by Watered Garden Florist]

Most Memorable Moment

Katie - The old adage about never working with animals or children doesn't always apply to us in the event planning industry! Sweet Brody the dog proved himself to be extremely cooperative and quite the gentleman!

Best Vendor Contribution

Party Reflections - Provided the most gorgeous sailcloth tent for Kate. There are so many ways to tent an outdoor reception, and Kate’s choice of sailcloth next to the gorgeous barn created a stunning setup.

Get Lit – The custom chandeliers built for Jackie’s reception room were breathtaking. They truly transformed the entire room and show how much difference one idea can make in the design process. [Photo by Riley MacLean Photography]

Best Personal Touch

Jackie and Jon – Jon personally selected the craft beer selection for their cocktail hour. Guests got the very unique and personal experience of tasting beers that reflected the bride and groom as a couple.

Jen – Jen’s Disney Fastpass placecards are so cute! And such a fun way to point to a loving memory that the couple share!

Emily – We Gather Together ladies cannot resist a good dessert, especially when it’s homemade! And while we don’t always suggest the sometimes-stressful decision to DIY something for your wedding, these cheesecakes turned out to be such a hit!

Best Groomsman Getup

Amy and Will – Just take a gander at these handsome chaps in their white dinner jackets and try not to swoon… We thought not.

Katie and Brian – Who doesn’t love a Southern gent in a bowtie?! We sure do!

Best Participation By Mother Nature

Jenn and Adair-Hayes - Both brides won the weather lottery in 2014! These two brides must have earned some great weather-karma to get such incredible conditions for their days! We aren’t too proud to admit that we have our little superstitions over at GT, and the story goes that if you bury a bottle of bourbon upside down in the ground at your wedding site one month before your big day, the rain will stay away! You’re welcome ;)

Our Favorite Behind-The-Scenes Moments

Kate and Jonathan – Speaking of weather… the wind decided to play some fun games with us on Kate and Jonathan’s day! A couple of emergency trips to hardware stores, a lot of frantic hammering of stakes, and a ceremony spent wrestling in very unladylike positions behind the drapes amounted to a successful and energetic day for the Gather Together women!

Lindsey and Justin – Honesty moment here… We cannot deny that the adorable goats at Lindsey and Justin’s wedding made all of us in the Gather Together offices consider adding an unusual member to our households. The fluff, the prancing, the bleating! Be still our collective hearts…

Needless to say, 2014 was an amazing year for Gather Together! Our team is beyond excited to see what the 2015 season has in store for us and our clients...

Til we Gather Together again...
